In the past, people used to work in the same profession or for the same company all their working life. These days, it is common for people to have a variety of job throughout their life. These views have their own advantages and disadvantages, and I will share my opinion regarding to this matter.
There are some benefits if people work in the same profession or workplace. It will show that they are a loyal person. People who show loyalty to the company will be more trusted and they will probably be given a good position. Another advantage of having the same job is people will be more stable financially. They will receive a promising salary and high incentives. Nevertheless, it can cause more stress because people are tired and bored of sticking with the same routine every day.
Meanwhile, people with several jobs in their entire life will have more experience in dealing with problem. It is because they are faced with different challenges. Changing jobs also mean improving skill and knowledge because people are exposed with various situation. Another advantage is it can broaden the networking. People who have ever been in different workplace will have many friends in many places.
To summarize, it would be good for people to try different jobs throughout their life. Beside getting new experience, knowledge, and skill, people will also grow their networks.
